Bash Back!

While our campus is erupting with ActOut enthusiasm I felt it was good to remember that there are shit tons of queer folks who aren't so worried about gay marriage.

Also there is a zine calling for submissions:

The newest in a string of Queer Anarchist publications is coming out of Olympia in January. Bash Back! News strongly encourages members of bash back! and others to contribute to this zine.

Here is the call out:

NEW QUEER ANARCHIST ZINE- CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Pink and Black Attack, a new queer anarchist zine, is looking for
submissions! The project is based out of Olympia, WA and the first issued
is planned to come out by January. This is a zine dedicated to
anti-capitalist, anti-state, anti-assimilationist queer news, theory, and
action. We’re looking for essays, news, reportbacks, poetry, comics…be
creative! We’d like to have submissions in by December 10th. Earlier is
always better, though. E-mail submissions to
pinkandblackattack@riseup.net!

Gastrotica

So we're working on a new project and would love some submissions:

Gastrotica is part cookbook, part sex guide, part relationship guide and all imbued with radical politics. We want anything you've got, those are the only limits for your imagination: something rad about food, sex, and/or love-- easy-peasy.

The Root

The Root was originally conceived of as a physical newsletter. (Hah! Get it? root--> radical). It has expanded (in theory) to be a very short zine about current happenings @ Vassar, the larger local community, and the world. It is no longer dependent on articles and essays but is accepting all entries that engage with current happenings in a rad way that can be conveyed on paper.

The official submission deadline for the Root has already passed. If you have something email it to vassarcatalyst@gmail.com by Thursday night @ 11.59pm.

New Blog

Well. Catalyst is a Media Collective. Why we haven't gotten a blog before is beyond me. So here we are. Hopefully it will be full of cool, radical shit soon.
